
Last week at McDonald’s annual shareholder’s meeting, CEO Don Thompson got caught off-guard when a team of 15 advocates, led by Corporate Accountability International, descended upon corporate headquarters to question the fast food leader’s relentless exploitation of children and communities of color.

I found the rest of the article very informative and point 4 particularly.
Mcdonalds was asked to vacate its pitch at a childrens hospital in Auckland when the health authority, i believe, brought in a revision of its food outlet and beverage machines policy. Now I don’t believe myself that so called sugar free or diet products are any more healther, but it was a step in the right direction.
Oh and when Maccas say they use 100% beef in their burgers – they mean just that – the whole cow. If no one knows what mechanically recovered meat means, ask Mr google, you’d not eat another burger after that!!
